DYSTEN carried out the modernization of the Dynamic Passenger Information System (Polish SDIP II) for Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowskie agglomeration. DYSTEN was looking for a reliable IT partner who would design and implement a mobile application in a short time, in the expected quality, which was to complement the SDIP II web portal.

Rozwiazanie

INNOKREA developed the graphic design and the overall development of the M2GOinfo mobile application. For this purpose, m.in, React Native technology was used.

The M2GOinfo application allows you to m.in:

checking the location of vehicles (bus, tram, trolleybus) and transport stops on the map (in real time),
checking the current timetable for a selected stop or stand located in Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowskie Metropolis,
searching for and presenting information about a selected communication line, stop or stand,
presentation of information about the selected vehicle concerning: direction, name of the nearest stop, planned service time of the nearest stop, vehicle number, which consists of the operator number and the side number of the vehicle), time of the last update of the vehicle’s position,
checking current announcements regarding public transport (information about detours, repairs or changes to the timetable),
searching for the most convenient connection between any two points (the beginning and end of the journey can be indicated by the place on the map, current position, transport stop, address),
adding selected stops or communication lines to your favourites.

Efekt biznesowy

The implementation of the M2GOinfo mobile application was an important element of a broader project to develop public transport for the GZM Metropolis. By implementing the SDIP II project, the Metropolis has joined the group of modern regions supporting residents with modern services that make their lives easier.

The M2GOinfo application has significantly increased the comfort of passengers, m.in. thanks to real-time information and convenient and easy-to-use route planning. A user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing interface also provides the ability to receive real-time notifications about difficulties on a given route, which often allows you to better plan your own trips.
